William D. Vinson Certificate
The collection consists of a certificate from Washington College (now Washington and Lee University) conferring upon Vinson the title of Distinguished Undergraduate. The certificate is dated 22 June 1871 and is signed by Robert E. Lee. Lee was president of Washington College until his death in 1870.
William Davidson Alexander Collection
The collection consists of a transcript of his 1863-1865 diary, images of the diary, and a copy of the resolution of the Men's Bible Class of the First Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, NC. The original diary is in the manuscript collections of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
